Various Christian Education opportunities exist for our youth. For more information see the current newsletter.
Confirmation
Confirmation is designed to help youth affirm the baptismal vows their parents made for them when they were infants. It educates youth so they can make a conscious decision about making the Christian faith their own. Confirmation is a two year process at Grace. The first year, each youth reads through the entire Bible and discusses it in an informal class with other confirmands and pastor. The second year is a class taught by our pastor using the Re:form curriculum.
Youth Fellowship
Our youth group encompasses middle school and senior high students. Most months, the youth get together once for Christian growth, food and fun. Please contact the office (office.graceucc@gmail.com) for a calendar of upcoming youth fellowship events.
Summer Work/Missions Trip
In the summer, our youth go on a work/mission trip. Past trips have included working at a shelter in North Carolina and serving in soup kitchens in New York City, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco. In the summer of 2010, our Senior Highers spent a week in Vancouver, BC serving homeless. In the summer of 2011, a multi-generational trip was taken to Dunkirk Camp and Conference Center in Dunkirk, NY. Watch the newsletter for more details about upcoming trips.
